towards the end of year twelve art we had a justification unit where, basically, we could do absolutely anything we wanted. it was really only to place us in the pluses and minuses. my grade was, apparently, already high enough for this unit not to matter, so i decided to do something that they might not be so eager to pin up in the library. for the rest of the term i sat at the back of the art classroom producing these. i felt like i was cheating the system, and it felt so damn good. my favourite artist was egon schiele, which would explain why i attempted a similar crudeness. his work was so bold and brash and beautiful and i loved every single piece of it. i don't think the librarians would have been terribly fond of him either.
