shiny new things

probably the best watch i have ever laid eyes on, from asos.

super nice 60's-style dress from asos, which conveniently matches my new watch.

annoyingly expensive all-white converse shoes. definitely worth the money, though. probably the best and most comfortable shoes i have ever owned.

berets!

today was a super super super nice day, but i'll tell you about it some other time because i'm awfully tired. for now, here is my modest little beret collection. i think these are probably the best three colours to own, although i'm dying to find one that's a nice dark green. i'm not always big on berets. they have to have a really nice shape to them, or they just flop on my head like a pancake. this is why i was so damn happy when i saw that target was having a beret sale (about $4 each!) and tried one on to find that it was probably the best thing i had ever put on my head. it sat so perfectly that i had to buy two (because there were only two colours). the red one, as you can probably tell, is much older.

neck scarves

here are my very best neck scarves! they're so damn difficult to pick because they look crazy different when actually rolled up around your neck. most neck scarves are quite ugly, really, when you take a good look at them. i realise that they look quite unappealing in this picture, but i'm sure you can imagine that they look a whole lot cuter on. my favourite is the bright turquoise, i think. the third one down is covered in small men on horses, and i found it yesterday at the antiques store. you may also remember the spotted scarf from the suitcase rummage. the rest i have picked up at korean accessories stalls in the middle of shopping centers. soon i'll be the owner of a really sweet floral one that i found on asos. see you tomorrow!

things to make me happy at work

today i have to go to work. hopefully i'll be happier than usual because i'll be wearing my favourite turquoise bow.

i'll also be smelling like sorbet, and owning much nicer eyelashes than usual. it's always nice to have little things to make you happy when you're stuck somewhere so unappealing.
