it's nice to act like a tourist

sometimes it's nice to act like a tourist in a place that you've been a hundred times before. yesterday we did just this, and rode the aquaduck. it's basically a duck-themed tour bus-boat that goes on land and water all around surfers paradise. it was pretty silly, but also pretty neat.

i have a soft spot for boats. even when they're shaped like a big yellow duck, they still manage to be a little romantic and sweet.

plus it was raining for the first time in weeks and weeks and weeks, so i was finally able to wear my bright yellow raincoat! i was so damn happy.

festivals and gelato

yesterday, for the most part, was spent relaxing and watching movies in a warm bed. we also spent some time with my cute little brother, before making our way to surfers paradise for a festival which turned out to be not much of a festival at all. it was quite nice, nonetheless. plus we were able to spend all of the money that we didn't waste buying nice festival things on chocolate gelato, which happened to be insanely good.
