insanely clever

This has got to be one of the best things I've ever bought. It's an iphone case, believe it or not. I found it just in time for my mini holiday, and it was perfect in so many ways. Just about everyone wanted to know what it was (it looks a bit too thin to be a real camera), and thought it was insanely clever when I showed them. Ironically, I barely took a single picture the whole time... possibly because I was too busy spending all of my money at American Apparel.

The top was originally from Romwe, but was bought from Le Blog de Sushi's shop. The jumper dress is vintage and was bought on Etsy. I'm also wearing my two face watch from Urban Outfitters and my replica Hermes bracelet.

hello! god, it's been so long since i was here last. as always, i've been incredibly busy with university, work and online shopping. on top of that, my camera went funny a few months ago (the pictures are all coming out black and i'm not sure why because i never really taught myself how to use it properly in the first place), and i haven't really had time to try and fix it. i also hate hate hate the new blogger layout. it makes posting weird and difficult and just generally frustrating. but anyway, i'm back! here is what i wore to run some errands today.

the top is vintage (from etsy) and has a really nice high peter pan collar. the skirt is from asos, and can be found here. i'm also wearing my new $20 replica hermes bracelet, which is surprisingly good quality.

the world's best bracelets

for the last few weeks, i haven't left the house without one of these around my wrist. they are probably the nicest bracelets i have ever seen. i found the first one in mombassa, a little trendy shop that sells a lot of similarly nice things. i bought it immediately, and thought it was a damn good find because it was really quite similar to the hermes 'h' bracelet that i've always wanted, but without the price tag. a few weeks later i found the white and red ones in sportsgirl, of all places, and they're even nicer! i think i'll have to buy several back-ups in every colour so i don't need to worry about them getting tired and old.

i don't wear much jewelry, just nice things in my hair

honestly, i rarely wear jewelry. bracelets don't seem to suit me, nor earrings or necklaces. they look uncomfortable and misplaced and i usually feel like they're spoiling perfectly good outfits. of course, there are exceptions. i would give a vital organ to own a hermes bracelet (the day will come), and rings suit me nicely. i used to capitalise on this by wearing a ring on almost every finger, to make up for a lack of adornment elsewhere. as you can imagine, this became a little tiresome and sad. now only one is left, because it was a very special gift from a boy years ago, and i swore never to take it off.

anyway, my point is that i think hair bows and bands and clips and ties are the nicest accessories a girl can own. not only are they nice to look at, but they're damn practical and super sweet. they don't bother you like bracelets around your wrists or chains around your neck, which are always swinging and sliding and being generally annoying. i don't think i would ever dare go out without something nice in my hair. even plastic head bands make everything ten times sweeter. anyway, here are a few of my regulars!
