preparing for winter days

yesterday a large package arrived from asos with lots of nice things inside. i've been very active on asos lately, probably because of the damn lot of sales they keep having. in this particular order i got some thigh-high blue knitted socks, a cosy cream-coloured aran sweater, a super nice neck scarf with blue and red stripes (although for some reason the rest of it is a boring brown colour instead of the cream that i was expecting), some candy-shaped earrings and a super nice bag that i've used every day since. in a few days another order is due to arrive with black t-bar shoes and a few cute pairs of socks to accompany them. other than spending most of my time on asos, i've been on an avid hunt for the perfect red sweater and blue cropped jacket. i'm also waiting for about a thousand cute 60's dresses to arrive from etsy, due to a realisation a few weeks back that my collection was looking a bit sad.

neck scarves

here are my very best neck scarves! they're so damn difficult to pick because they look crazy different when actually rolled up around your neck. most neck scarves are quite ugly, really, when you take a good look at them. i realise that they look quite unappealing in this picture, but i'm sure you can imagine that they look a whole lot cuter on. my favourite is the bright turquoise, i think. the third one down is covered in small men on horses, and i found it yesterday at the antiques store. you may also remember the spotted scarf from the suitcase rummage. the rest i have picked up at korean accessories stalls in the middle of shopping centers. soon i'll be the owner of a really sweet floral one that i found on asos. see you tomorrow!

a turquoise scarf

i thought it would only be fair to show you a nicer view of the scarf in my last post. it's one of my favourite things to wear in my hair, and sometimes around my neck. that pretty turquoise colour goes with just about everything i own. isn't it nice!

a new skirt!

we've been back at the gold coast for a few days now. today we mostly just stayed in bed because we had no better plans, and also no money to spend. we were happy, though, because we had many nice movies at our disposal. in the late afternoon i got myself ready and we walked to the daycare to pick up my amazingly cute little brother. in a few minutes i will get paid, and we will go out for ice cream to celebrate!

the skirt arrived yesterday from topshop, the shirt is from target, i think, and the hair tie is from one of those pop-up korean accessories stalls.

in case you were wondering, the outfit i was wearing in my last post consisted of my favourite pair of blue shorts (which used to be pants, before i did some awfully clever hemming), my favourite black tube top and one of my nicest neck scarves.
