i'll have it in every colour you've got!

There are some things (okay, a lot of things) that I'm a complete sucker for. One of them is cropped sweaters with high necklines. When I saw these on sale at Cue the other day, I knew there was no way that I could leave without them. Not only are they cropped with high necklines, but they're in pretty pastel colours AND they've got this glittery sheen to them that lights up my whole face.

I wore this outfit the very next day. I've since found nicer outfits (both sweaters look super cute with black or white a-line skirts), but my boyfriend insists that this is his favourite. I don't know how I ever lived without them.

christmas eve

I had a really really lovely Christmas this year, although most of it ended up being spent traveling between the houses of different relatives. This was the outfit that I wore on Christmas eve, which I spent with my dad and my little brother (the cutest boy I know).

My new sequin-covered gold skirt by Sass, which made me feel like a Christmas ornament in the best way possible (not that there's a bad way to feel like a Christmas ornament, in my opinion).

And my new favourite shoes, found in a strange Chinese shoe store in Sydney. They have little one-inch heels which are perfect for me because I don't end up wobbling all over the place or looking ridiculously tall.

60's cheerleader

I found this cute vintage 60's sweater on Etsy and I think it's perfect. It has the best bell sleeves and makes me feel like a cheerleader. The skirt is from Chinatown in Sydney. I got it for only ten dollars, which was brilliant because it's the perfect red skirt. The belt has been in my closet for years, so I'm not quite sure where I found it. 

insanely clever

This has got to be one of the best things I've ever bought. It's an iphone case, believe it or not. I found it just in time for my mini holiday, and it was perfect in so many ways. Just about everyone wanted to know what it was (it looks a bit too thin to be a real camera), and thought it was insanely clever when I showed them. Ironically, I barely took a single picture the whole time... possibly because I was too busy spending all of my money at American Apparel.

hi there!

Hello! Welcome to all that is fine version 2.0 (probably more like version 18.0 but this one will be more permanent, I promise). Blogging is something that I love, but never have time to do. So, I've made time, because you should always make time for the things that you love. I'm still working on making everything look nice and cute, and changing the style of the blog a bit so it's generally more fun. 

As you can see, I've been playing around with some backdrop ideas because I'll also be reviving my old ebay store AND opening an etsy shop for all of the vintage clothes I've bought online that haven't fit me quite right (I'm a very wishful thinker when it comes to measurements, so there's a lot of them). Hopefully I'll have that up and running soon, but don't hold your breath because I have a hard time saying goodbye to nice clothes, even if they make me look like a mouse in a clown suit.

And here is today's outfit! Perfect for a trip to the fabric store, I think. Hopefully you'll be seeing lots of cute spots and stripes and clouds and hearts behind me in the near future.

The super cute striped top/sweater with a peter pan collar is from Modcloth. Christina Ricci wore something very similar in a photo shoot a while ago (which I fell in love with) so I was very very happy when I found this! The skirt is from Portmans, and has become my go-to blue skirt because it just goes so well with everything. I'm also wearing my usual white headband and a watch that I found in a small boutique. I'll show you it up close some time, as it's quite cool (although very badly worn).

eggplant

two of my favourite things at the moment are nice 60's dresses (as always) and my new cape-style coat. i've been all over etsy during the holidays, trying to expand on my 60's mini dress collection. this was one of my more practical finds (often they end up being either a bit too ridiculous or a bit too short). it's a cute little eggplant-coloured mini dress with light pink accent stitching.

i found the coat in a 75% off sale at laura ashley. i love it so much that i've barely taken it off since then. everyone else seems to love it a damn lot too, which is a bonus. one lady in the fabric store even asked me to take it off so she could see how it was made.

i've been working like crazy this week, and already managed to spend my entire pay (in advance) on nice 60's dresses, high waisted jeans and daisy earrings. 

stripes, skirts and suspenders

anyone who has been on this blog before is probably very familiar with my favourite striped top, which i probably wear at least once a week. i've never been able to find the perfect striped top, which would be fitted with a high neckline and thick blue and white stripes, similar to the one that niotillfem wears. i've been searching and searching and searching for years, but it just doesn't seem to exist. so, this is about as good as i'm going to get for the time being. 

anyway, here is one of my go-to outfits for those days when i really don't have the time to think about what i'm going to wear (i.e. most uni days). it's super simple, but still cute enough to make me feel happy all day.

and here is my new favourite tote bag. clearly it doesn't photograph well, but it's super cute in person. i always end up carrying about three bags wherever i go, and they get old and destroyed pretty damn fast. this one's holding up surprisingly well. all i have to do it make sure i keep the contents looking nice, because i'm not the only one who has to look at them. i bought it from asos, as with most things.

pink, white and red

hello! god, it's been so long since i was here last. as always, i've been incredibly busy with university, work and online shopping. on top of that, my camera went funny a few months ago (the pictures are all coming out black and i'm not sure why because i never really taught myself how to use it properly in the first place), and i haven't really had time to try and fix it. i also hate hate hate the new blogger layout. it makes posting weird and difficult and just generally frustrating. but anyway, i'm back! here is what i wore to run some errands today.

the top is vintage (from etsy) and has a really nice high peter pan collar. the skirt is from asos, and can be found here. i'm also wearing my new $20 replica hermes bracelet, which is surprisingly good quality.

somewhere beyond the sea

today my river island sailor playsuit arrived from asos (you can find it here). it's awfully cute, and i think i'll find myself wearing it quite a bit with my little red cardigan. you might also notice that i'm wearing my glasses today. i actually wear my glasses all day every day (because i need them to see), but i take them off for photos because it doesn't look terribly good. today i happened to forget, so there you go!

stripes and polka dots

here is what i will wear today, to go to a one hour lecture and then the dentist. my dentist happens to be a particularly awful man, who always smudges my makeup all over the place and makes me generally uncomfortable, so i am not very happy about this. however, life must go on. then off i will go to work, where i'll be wearing something a little less fashionable.

three days

day 1:

the top (which is actually a dress) is from asos and can be found here, the skirt is from pret a portobello, the bracelet is from mombassa and the super nice turquoise bow has been sitting in my drawer for years, so i'm not quite sure where it's from.

day 2:

the dress is from chinatown in sydney, as is my favourite bunny ears headband. i wore a black top under the dress to add sleeves (simply because it looks nicer this way), which is from cotton on. the bracelet is from mombassa.

day 3:

the sweater is sonia rykiel for h&m (but i found it on ebay), the skirt is very old and from a korean ebay seller, the hair tie/neck scarf is from asos, and in my very messy background you can see the boxes that house my new shoes (which i am very excited about)!

bicycle, bicycle

i've been meaning to get back into outfit posting, but i'm always so rushed in the morning as is. today i had a nice, quiet morning before uni, so i thought i'd show you what i'll wear.

the shirt is from urban outfitters (but i found it on ebay), the skirt is of course from american apparel, the socks are from sportsgirl and the bag is known as a kanken, from swedish brand 'fjallraven'.

my new love

the other day i was browsing around a little store in a big shopping center when i noticed this dress. i nearly died with excitement. it happens to be the same dress that i've been longing for ever since i saw it on niotillfem maybe a year-or-so ago. her dress was from h&m, and was very difficult to find, so i ultimately just gave up. as angry as i get when i see bad quality topshop and h&m copies all around the place, this one was super nice and i'm very lucky that it existed. it's so nice when things like this pop up so unexpectedly.

cherry bomb

as promised, here is the outfit that followed me around the other day. i liked it very very much. an elderly lady at the post office told me that i looked pretty in it, too. it made my day.

the skirt is from asos, the top is actually a very cute dress tucked into my stockings and is from topshop, the belt came with a dress that i bought on ebay, and the stockings are super nice and from a little korean stall.
